Quick Silver Magazine, October 1983-Issue #2

October 1983 issue of Quick Silver Magazine.  This is the second issue of this Canadian trade publication covering the amusement game industry.  The cover story is titled "The Lasers Have Hatched," and it's about the first generation of arcade laser disc video games.  New products include Bally Midway's PROFESSOR PAC-MAN video game, Gottlieb/Mylstar's M.A.C.H. 3 laser disc video game, Data East's PRO SOCCER video game, Bally Midway's DISCS OF TRON video game, and Williams' MOTORACE USA video game.  The inside front cover has a full-page ad for Atari's POLE POSITION video game, and the inside back cover has a full-page trade ad for Bally Midway's DISCS OF TRON video game.  There are features titled "Sega Assets Grabbed" about Bally Midway's purchase of Sega, "At Your Convenience" about operating games in convenience stores, "On the Beach" about the old-time arcade at the now-closed Crystal Beach Amusement Park in Ontario, "Hockey Night In Canada" about CHEXX-style hockey games, and more.  The cover story, titled "At Long Last, Lasers" has a discussion of the recently introduced laser disc video games, including DRAGON'S LAIR, ASTRON BELT, BEGA'S BATTLE, M.A.C.H. 3, LASER GRAND PRIX, and STAR RIDER.    This magazine is in very good condition, although there's some black shading on the cover.
